Start paychq

Four short prompts: what comes in, when it comes in, what goes out on a predictable schedule, and a rough weekly variable estimate. Two minutes, then we take you to Stripe for $4/month.

1. What comes in

Your typical take-home per paycheck (after taxes). Add the low and high end if your pay varies (tips, overtime).

2. When it comes in

Most hourly W-2 jobs. Pick which weekday and the most-recent payday date below.

3. What goes out (fixed bills)

Add the bills that hit your account on a predictable schedule — rent, daycare, autopay subscriptions, anything that posts on a known day. Aim for the four to six biggest; the small stuff goes in the variable estimate below.

4. Estimated weekly variable spend

Groceries + gas + the small stuff. A rough number is fine — you'll update it by replying to Sunday emails as you go.

What happens after you pay

  • Stripe Checkout opens. After paying you'll land back on paychq for a 30-second confirmation step (timezone + current bank balance).
  • Your first Sunday email arrives this coming Sunday at 8 AM local time. Three numbers, one suggestion, one paragraph each.
  • Reply to any email in plain English to update the projection — you'll get a confirmation back within about a minute.
  • Cancel from the link in any email. No login needed.

paychq only collects what's needed to project your buffer and email it to you: the numbers below, your email (entered at Stripe), your timezone, and the current bank balance you'll confirm after checkout. No bank-account connection. Every Sunday email carries a link to pause, and a link to erase everything above — both open without a login. The erase link lists exactly what will be deleted and asks you to confirm; nothing is deleted until you do, and it cancels your subscription at the same time.
